Training on facilitation and presentation was organized on 3-4 April 2007 in Riga, Latvia as a part of the meeting series within the frame of the EU project “NGO potential for contribution to environmental policy development” (NotBAlt-3).

This training was aimed at facilitation and presentation skills rising for NGO, involved into NOTBALT-3 project activities.

Non-governmental organizations from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia are trained on workshop organization, agenda building, presentation and facilitation.

Participants of the meeting introduced their own experiences with presentation and facilitation and agenda building and learn how to do it more effectively.

Every participant was actively involved in the training. People said that this training was very useful. Exercise for preparing own presentation was named by participants as the most interesting and effective. At this exercise all participants have chosen theme for preparing own presentation. Process of everyone’s public presentation was videofilming. Then there was a feedback for trainer and for other participants.

Participants learned such important presentation skills as right voice, attractive language, contact with an audience and some others.

At the end of training participants received homework for the second meeting in Saint-Petersburg: preparation of facilitation situations and own presentations.
