EEFIRus – Network for Energy Efficiency in Northwest Russia

Project "Developing competency of NGOs in chemical policies: potentials for public awareness raising in Belarus and Russia".

The main project objective is to support capacity building to develop the role of Belarusian and Northwest Russian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in policy development and public awareness raising in the field of chemicals management.

Preparation of the Case Study reports for World Water Development Report.

The triennial UN World Water Development Report is a joint undertaking of UN-Water in partnership with governments and other stakeholders, and coordinated by WWAP.
Produced every 3 years, the Reports draw on the expertise and knowledge of the UN system in partnership with governments and other entities concerned with freshwater issues.

BACCON-RUS project - «Awareness raising and capacity building on chemicals control in North West Russia».

The project «Awareness raising and capacity building on chemicals control in North West Russia» (BACCON-RUS) was created for Development of co-operation project between Russia, Nordic Council of Ministers, Sweden & Finland to support capacity building at state authorities and industry in Russia for set-up and implementation of an efficient chemicals management system.

PEIPSIMAN project- "Improved regional development and cross border cooperation in the Estonian-Russian border region through partial implementation of Lake Peipsi Management Program".

The project is focused at Russian-Estonian border region, Lake Peipsi/Chudskoe area.

There is a great need in the cooperation among the regional and local governments, local stakeholders, both from Estonian and Russian side to eliminate development hindrances, caused by geographical location, and to ensure sustainable development for the whole Lake region.

The project activities are aimed at developing solutions for preventing this EU external border from being an obstacle for regional development and at improving sustainable use of natural resources.

NOTBALT 3 project - "NGO Twinning between Western NIS and Baltic States: NGOs potential for contributions to environmental policy development".

This project was aimed at raising capacities of the Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian NGOs in contributing to environmental policy lobbying, policy development and implementation, transferring NGO experience from the Baltic states (incl. Lithuania) to other countries for generating evaluation of the learning after the USSR disintegration, comparing the Baltic/EU experience with the current situation in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine taking into account potential developments in the field of EU integration and Neighborhood Policy, developing a kind of “road map” of potentials for actions and identify “no-go-territories” in those countries.

NOTBALT project - "NGO Twinning in the Baltic Sea Region".

Center for Transboundary Cooperation – St.Petersburg, newly-established organization, as well as other Russian NGOs, often does not have solid project development and management experience; therefore use of European experience from already recognized and highly-professional NGO, which was working for around 10 years under Technical Assistance projects funded by the EU and it’s member states, raises NGOs capacities to work with international and national donors and financing in order to support civil society development and perform planned environmental activities.

WaterPub project - "Support to public participation in water management in North-Eastern Baltic Sea Region".

The project was aimed at capacity building, strengthening the role of Belarusian and Northwest Russian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in policy development and public awareness raising in the field of water management, as well as, promoting the dialogue between authorities and NGOs on public and NGOs role in water policies development and implementation in the North - Eastern side of the Baltic Sea.

TRABANT project - "Transnational River Basin Districts on the Eastern Side of the Baltic Sea Network"

Eastern transnational river basins are not managed with a coherent, commonly-implemented method. On the contrary, each region has its individual way. To avoid troubles there is need for a common approach.
