International NGO Conference “NGOs as actors in development and implementation of the Baltic Sea Action Plan: next steps and joint actions” in Urmala, Latvia.
The aim of the meeting is to network the NGOs from Eastern part of the Baltic Sea region in order to propose specific measure aimed at the Baltic Sea Action Plan implementation and future joint actions in the environmental field.
Seminar “Transboundary water basin management: results of TRABANT project and follow up”
The main aim of this event was to present major project findings and discuss possible ways of cooperation and priorities for Nemanus river basin among different stakeholders and project experts.
Active participants of this meeting will be people from authorities, field of science, universities, non-governmental organizations..etc.
This event was organized with financial support of European Union in the frame of INTERREG 3B Program.
The second training on workshop organisation, presentation and facilitation at 8-10 May 2007 was organized at Pushkin, Russia (NotBAlt-3 project).
This meeting is aimed to deep knowledge of NGO’s from Russia, Belarus’, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia on presentation and facilitation, and train it on the practice.
At this meeting more attention was on facilitation skills raising and workshop organisation.
Workshop organisation including both content side (issue, goals,target group and eg..) and technical side.

CTC-SPb glad to invite colleagues from non-governmental organizations North-West Russia and Republic of Belarus, who interested to know more about chemicals in every day life, to participate in training “Russian and Belarusian NGOs on chemicals management issues” will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania, 23-24 April 2009.
This meeting is the first in the frame of Nordic Council of Ministers project “Developing competency of NGOs in chemical policies: potentials for public awareness raising in Belarus and Russia”
Seminar-training aimed on public participation in water management, Repino, Saint-Petersburg.
In the frame of training it was learned such questions as conceptual approaches and background of public participation in water management, best practices examples, available funding instruments for NGOs to develop new projects in this field of interest. Else non-governmental organizations discussed the most successful projects based on their own experience, exchange the knowledge, and else – rise own communication skills to cooperate with mass-media.
Seminar in Helsinki, Finland in the frame of TRABANT project.
This seminar was aimed at discussing water management in transboundary river basins and at assessing the ecological status and characterics of river basins.
